Attention!   Opening hours during COVID-19 pandemic   7:30-17:30

The Nursery opens at 07:00. When a child arrives we welcome her/him together with her/ his parent. Parents can leave the child to be undressed by a Teacher or can do it themselves with the teacher’s assistance. The shoes are changed for Nursery’s shoes, coats hanged on the hangers. Children say good-bye to their parents and proceed to the bathroom to wash their hands.

After wards, children also have their faces and hands washed and dried with paper towels, later they brush their teeth or have their teeth brushed. We want our children to gain self- independence so our child-minders teach all the hygiene routines.

At 09:45 we start “circle time” – children are divided into 2 rooms and they sit into circles. We sing a “Good-morning” song welcoming each child with a toy. The song is sung in English.

  • 10:00 – 11:00 Play and Learn Time – playing outside*, physical activities - gymnastics, music and singing, rhymes, word practice***dance, drawing, painting

10:00 – 11:00 is the activity time at our Nursery. Our preschool teachers organize art activities, music and dancing activities, gymnastics, English lessons and reading activity are held by an English Teacher. During given days of the month children have activities with specialists like: speech therapist, musician, rehabilitation specialist, ceramics specialist.

If the weather is suitable to walk and play outside children are taken outside. They are taken out in rounds so that one child-minder has only two children at care, in order to hold their hands and secure their safeness. Smaller children are taken out in their strollers brought by the parents. If a minder takes a child in a stroller she only takes one child to walk holding hands with her.

If parents have left a cream (sun protector or cream for winter) our staff will make sure it is applied before leaving the Nursery.

The quantity of soup served is 300 ml. If the soup contains bigger pieces of vegetables (for instance potatoes) they are smashed before serving.

The Nursery’s stuff helps older children who are able to eat themselves to finish their soup. They also feed the children who do not eat alone.

  • 11:30 – 12:00 Hygiene (washing hands, brushing teeth etc)

The hygiene includes: washing hands, face and brushing teeth. Using the toilet, changing the diapers. If necessary creaming the face and hands. The children whose clothes got wet during eating will have them changed. The wet dirty clothes are packed into a plastic bag, which is closed and signed with the child’s name and put on their shelf to be given to the parents when leaving the Nursery.

  • 12:00 – 14:15 Relaxation and sleeping time

The room where children sleep is darkened with blinds. We ask parents to bring a pillow; blanket and a sheet plus all the necessary equipment that their child needs to fall asleep and have a good rest (for instance a dummy, a favorite teddy bear, a swaddling cloth etc). The beds are arranged always in the same location for each child, so they can feel safe and comfortable during rest time. Children sleep on certified Nursery beds (low with plastic round edges for their safeness). Our child-minders help children to fall asleep by caressing their hair or hands. In the Room children can hear lullabies that help them relax before sleeping. After children have fallen to sleep, a child-minder guards them for safe sleep in the room. The sheets are given every 2-3 weeks for the parents to have it washed at home. During awaking time each child goes to the bathroom to use the toilet.
